After an extremely exciting last few weeks I have to gather my thoughts and go back through a few facebook posts to remember all of the AMAZING things that have been happening. First of all I must say that I have by far the BEST future sister in law and mother in law in the whole entire world. I will fight you on this if you don't believe me. Actually I don't have to fight you. I will just show you some pictures from the absolutely incredible-amazing-beautiful-vintage-hilarious-fun-awesome-surprise Bridal shower that they threw me!! I couldn't have dreamed anything more amazing than this.
I was soo shocked and I am so unbelievably thankful for every single lady that was there and put so much time and effort into making it special.. It blows me away everyday how blessed I am to have such amazing friends! Click here to see the full album!
Next on my list of excitement but certainly not last is the fact that Greg and I got our first apartment! YAY!! After many months of confusion on what area of Charlotte we are supposed to be living in we decided to go do a little apartment hunting. Wouldn't you know we absolutely fell in LOVE with one on the very first day! After praying about it and sleeping on it (when Greg suggested sleeping on it I told him to go take a quick nap then give me an answer-needless to say I was excited!) ... We applied for the apartment. But oh no- I forgot something. "We" didn't apply for it.. Greg told me that we could probably go apply after I got out of work, but when I got home he surprised me with paperwork saying we had already been accepted! Yay for surprises! I was absolutely thrilled. Now I get to think about decorating and all that fun wife stuff! We will get the keys on August 12th and can begin painting then.. We are looking forward to moving in shortly after our wedding! The Lord has blessed us so much and I can't wait to see how we can use our new place for His glory!
One last thing before bed.. Greg and I have been doing a lot of searching online for a church where we feel God really wants us at this point in our lives. We checked out a new church yesterday and felt at home instantly. We are soo excited about possibly finding our new church home and family. Although we loved our church before we really want something smaller with more of a home church atmosphere. We are absolutely thrilled about the possibilities that this church holds for us; helping us both grow spiritually and be able to properly lead others to Christ and mentor them. We are excited about drawing a line in the sand and truly working on becoming the people that Christ intends us to be. We are planning on attending again as soon as we get back from Maine. Please keep us in your prayers as we try to make some big desicions.
Last off I just have to share this song. No matter how chaotic and confusing life can be this song says it loud and clear- Jesus is the only way. I need to remind myself sometimes that His plan IS beautiful.
